Life is very convenient for us today. It wasn't that easy 2,000 years ago. We take for granted things like light and the availability of food. Father explains the message of today's Gospel by explaining what life was like during the times the Gospel was written.
Father Steve asks us, "Don't you want to be the person that makes a difference?" He explains that this is what Jesus wants for us today. Unfortunately, many hide because they don't want to "stick out" or bring attention to themselves.
Father explains we were given gifts to make a difference in this world. Gifts and talents were bestowed on us so we can be an instrument of change. Use those gifts.
