Hail Mary

Hail, Mary!  Full of grace,
The Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among women,
And blesses the fruit of they womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Moth of God.
Pray for us sinners.
Now, and at the hour of our death.  Amen

Our Father

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.  Amen.

Glory Be to the Father

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.  Amen.

Angel of God

Angel of God, my Guardian dear.
to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day/night be at my side
to light and guard, to rule and guide.  Amen

Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.

 Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation,
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge
the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

The Rosary

The rosary is a very rich prayer in the Catholic Church's treasury.  It originated from the Church's liturgical prayer, which used the 150 psalms of the Old Testament, and developed into a way of prayer for people who couldn't read or who didn't have full access to the Bible.  The 150 psalms were later replaced with simple, easily memorized prayers such as the Our Father and the Hail Mary.  Additions were made over the centuries, and the rosary's current form took shape in the sixteenth century.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven, and the pains of Hell; but most of all because I love Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God.  Who are all-good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.  In choosing to do wrong and failing to do goo, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all thing.  I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.  Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.  In his name, my God, have mercy.

O my God, I am sorry for my sins because I have offended you.  I know I should love you above all things.  Help me to do penance, to do better, and to avoid anything that might lead me to sin.  Amen.
