Ministry Information

Father Steve Voyt, St Patrick'sWe strongly encourage and welcome your participation
(i.e., time and talent) in our ministries.  If you would like to get involved feel free to
e-mail the person in charge of that ministry.  You'll find links
to the POCs on the various ministry web pages.

Because we are a small parish, we want to offer everyone an opportunity to get involved; therefore, individuals may only participate in one ministry at a time.  In other words, if you are scheduled to be a Lay Eucharist Minister on a particular day, you would not be able to sing or lector on that same day.  We strongly enforce this policy unless there is a specific ministry in need of numerous volunteers and then only on a case-by-case consideration.  Historically, participating in more than one ministry, at the same time, has proven to be very challenging and confusing for all.  We don't want to take away from the Mass or the spiritual experience.

Girls/Women Covered shoulders - no spaghetti straps, halters or tube tops.  No shorts or tight fitting clothes.  No worn out jeans or tee shirts.  No tennis or gym shoes and no flip flops.  No faddish clothes (see below)

Boys/MenNo tank tops or tee shirts.  No shorts or worn out jeans.  No tattered clothes.  No tennis/gym shoes and no flip flops.  No faddish clothes (see below)

Faddish Clothes Clothing with writing or statements on them.  Leggings worn under skirts or dresses.  Wide legged jeans/pants with designs or chains.  Jeans that fall lower than the top of one's undergarments.

When participating in a ministry, please arrive 15 minutes prior to Mass.

Quarterly, or as needed, each ministry will offer a training session.  Please be available for these sessions.  They offer you an opportunity to stay proficient in your ministry as well as allowing opportunities to for fellowship and to grow spiritually.

Each ministry has their own rules and responsibilities listed their corresponding web page.  If you have any questions contact your Ministry coordinator.

Baptism ClassesPreparation for the sacrament of Baptism is available to all Catholic active duty military members and their dependents.  Contact Father Steve to arrange for Baptism classes.

Before making reservations to attend the Baptismal Class, please coordinate the class date with your sponsors/Proxy (Godparents), since they are asked to attend as well.  If the sponsors are unable to attend class, due to location, then they will be required to provide a "Letter of Good Standing" and/or a Baptismal Class Certificate of Completion, which are signed by the priest of their home parish.  After completing the Baptismal Class, a Baptismal Date will be discussed.  If there is a special need or extenuating circumstances, we will try to accommodate your needs.
